Can PR save the Vancouver Olympics from embarrassment?

The Vancouver Olympics committee needs another $30 million. Can any PR help them now? What do you think? I really want to know.

Agreed, this is a brutal development in the Olympic story.

However, we may be in the midst of a natural downturn in public support leading up to the Olympics.

If I’m advising VANOC, which I am not, I say it is best to get the straight facts out now and then ride the PR rollercoaster of inevitable excitement pre and, hopefully, post Games.

Thanks Sunny. With BC Tourism dissolved, it just gets more and more interesting!

Agreed. The timing of the change is particularly interesting.

Pre-Olympic Tourism programs should be alright, as I assume most are already in place. But, I hope post-Olympic opportunities aren’t lost in the shuffle.
